... tomorrow, so that’s never a bad target to be indoors and watching movies by. But as far as when onset itself goes, for now the 8 p.m. to midnight period seems about best, from south to north. This is a bit of a wide window still, and sometimes this stuff arrives earlier than anticipated, hence the warning start time. The heaviest snow and/or a sleet plus rain mix likely comes in the post-midnight to near dawn time-frame. Moderate activity may continue into the morning before tapering significantly by midday. We may keep seeing at least spotty light snow, with the potential for a moderate burst or two, later in the day. A powerful upper level low pressure will be passing by overhead by that point. By and large, the main accumulation is done in the morning. One thing to keep in mind: while we might briefly rise above freezing area-wide in the afternoon Tuesday, Wednesday appears to be very cold. I’m talking most locations below freezing all day type of cold. Snow that falls won’t disappear as quick as typical March snow might tend ...

Biggest Snow Storm Of The Year To Hit East, Me
... outside of 2016. Before that, you go back to 2003 or 2005 (which was a New England storm). Here are some stats for other major cities in the path of the storm. Baltimore, MD. Top 1-Day Snow: 26.6 (1994). Since 2000: 14.0" (2003). Top 10 > 15.1". As I said, it's hard to get big snows here in Central Pa. We're often too far west for nor'easters, and too far east for lake-effect snow. In fact in State College, there have only been three storms with more than a foot of snow since 2000, and the most snow we've seen on one day from a storm in that time period is only 14 inches! The dark blue represents the heaviest snow, which would fall at 1 to 2 inches per hour (or even more for the darkest blue). This is likely the peak of the storm-the heaviest snow inland, heaviest sleet and rain near the coast, and the strongest winds at the coast. Unfortunately, this is close to the time of high tide in South Jersey. Very heavy rain along with 60 mph gusts, and high tide add up to possible significant flooding at the Jersey Shore.
