The 5 Most Inconsistent Ncaa Tournament Teams, Presented By The Belko Experiment
... at the five-most notable inconsistent teams in 2017's big dance. 5. Miami (8 Seed). Miami finished the regular season as the 25 th-most inconsistent team in college hoops according to our numbers after losing by large margins to teams like Syracuse and Florida State and winning big against squads like North Carolina State and Pitt. They enter the tournament having lost three of their last four games, but their numbers aren't awful: they ended the year ranked 29 th in adjusted net rating, and their 11.83 n ERD - a metric we use at number Fire to determine the number of points we'd expect a team to win by against an average one on a neutral court - is above-average for an 8 seed historically. Unfortunately, if they get past Michigan State , they'll face the Midwest's top-seeded Kansas , which will be a tough out even if ...

... the timesheet. Seeing it at the Toronto International Film Festival last fall, Variety's Dennis Harvey liked it: "As a self-aware guilty pleasure, 'The Belko Experiment' may not quite seize greatness, but it does give it a playful squeeze.". "The Belko Experiment" is rated R for pervasive violence and gore, language, and some strong drug use. It runs for 88 minutes. Charlotte Rampling and Jim Broadbent play former lovers confronting past cruelties in "The Sense of an Ending.". (Photo: Robert Viglasky/CBS Films). The past is never really past, a fact that drives "The Sense of an Ending.". Based on Julian Barnes' novel, "Ending" tells the story of a septuagenarian (Jim Broadbent) who learns he has been willed the diary of an old school chum. The wrinkle: The woman who has it (Charlotte Rampling), with whom both he and his old mate had a relationship with, won't give it up. Along the way, we learn what happened between those three, and how it lingers. Associated Press critic Jocelyn Noveck gave "Sense of an Ending" 3 stars, saying the ...

Beauty And The Beast, The Belko Experiment
... the original Trainspotting (with Millions being the thematic centerpiece of the two films), and it’s especially nice to see that Robert Carlyle and Ewen Bremner can still pull off what made both their characters so great twenty years earlier. It’s obvious that Danny Boyle was trying to make a different movie that changed with the characters and the film’s primary Scotland location, but the movie seems to lack the energy of the original, maybe because everyone involved is 20 years older and because times have indeed changed. Either way, I can recommend the movie with a few reservations for fans of the original movie. I’ll probably have to see this a second time down the line to really appreciate it. T 2 is being released in select cities on Friday but is expected to expand nationwide on March ...
The Belko Experiment
... the corporation takes rather extreme security precautions, going so far as to plant tracking devices under each employee's skin in case of kidnapping. But those implants aren't tracking devices. They're tiny bombs, like the one used to keep Kurt Russell in line during 1981's Escape From New York, and Belko's staff is about to learn that the ugly way. Early one morning, heavy steel shutters roll down over the entire building, and a voice on the office PA announces that a game has begun. The 80 people inside are to choose two people to kill within half an hour. If they don't, four will die via those little head-grenades. After some startling violence provides proof that this isn't a prank, workers break roughly into two camps: Those looking for a way to escape this fiendishness, led by John ...

... killing people) or the 2006 zombie flick “Slither,” among others. “I dreamt the trailer for this movie,” says Gunn, 46. “It’s really that simple. I woke up one morning and I dreamt the entire trailer, almost exactly as the trailer is being shown. That’s what it was. I woke up and I wanted to see that movie. So I wrote it, just kind of finding out what happened, what happened to characters.”. A process that began during a REM cycle culminates on Friday with the release of the movie, in which a crew of mostly American office workers doing some sort of bland contracting work in Colombia are locked into their building and told that a large number of them will die by a certain time, if a slightly lower number aren’t killed first. Gunn wrote the script but begged off directing the picture starring an ensemble ranging from John Gallagher Jr. to Michael Rooker and Melonie Diaz. His replacement, after the dormant project was revived several years later, is Australian Greg Mc Lean, best known for “Wolf Creek.”. “I was going to direct this movie when I had financing and first wrote the script, and was going to go down to Brazil to shoot ...
Belko Experiment’ Is A Day At The Office From Hell
... Barry Norris turns into a ruthless killer in a creepy performance by Tony Goldwyn that invokes his treacherous bad guy Carl Bruner in Ghost (1990) more than the character for which he is best known these days, President Fitzgerald Grant in ABC series Scandal. Drenched in blood. Another lead in the ensemble cast is Sean Gunn as the office stoner Marty, a conspiracy theorist who decides the whole nightmare is a hallucination brought on by the office’s poisoned water supply. A character actor best known for his seven-year stint as Kirk Gleason in comedy-drama The Gilmore Girls, Gunn’s star is about to soar with a leading part in his brother’s Guardians of the Galaxy 2. “There were times when my clothing was so drenched in blood that I couldn’t walk or go anywhere,” he recalled of the Belko shoot. “On the last day in the room that we were shooting in, the blood went above my shoes.”. Amid the exploding heads and bashed-in skulls, there are plenty of laugh-out-loud moments and the movie succeeds as an genuinely intriguing thought experiment which demands of the viewer: what would you do. “I would definitely be the one who just hides in the ...
