The game offers very few likable characters, even with the star power of Cedric Daniels (Lieutenant Daniels on The Wire). But despite its lackluster characters, the overarching story is solid. The plot offers up its mysteries sparingly. It takes until nearly the end of the main storyline to figure out the most important questions: why the apocalypse happened and why there are giant robot dinosaurs everywhere. In our time with the game, we discovered a pair of Very Rare-quality items that might catch the attention of eagle-eyed players. Both of these have icons that feature a striking resemblance to the silhouette of the Kojima Productions logo. Beyond that, there's the name of the two items, Stranded Shackles and Stranded Figure, that might hammer home that this is not a mere coincidence.
